The Japanese Popstars

Three musicians from Ireland have joined together to form the 3 piece electronic trio known as The Japanese Popstars. They play live, they DJ and they produce their own style of Electro/Maximal House, their debut release with Gung-Ho, named Delboy’s Revenge will be released soon. They have recently won the Irish Dance Music Award 08 and have been supported by such artists as Erol Alkan, 2 Many DJs, Boys Noize, Pete Tong, Groove Armada, Fergie, and many more. Their LP named We Just Are will be released this coming summer! Here are what the press are saying:

They are currently bi-monthly DJ residents in clubs such as: 515 @ Tripod, Dublin, Ireland * The Grill, Letterkenny, Ireland * Deep Fried Funk, Derry, N.Ireland * The Fold, Galway, Ireland * Yello, Belfast, N.Ireland * Excentric, Ibiza. The Japanese Popstars have signed to and off-shoot of Ministry Of Sound called Gung-Ho! Recordings, which they are releasing thier debut album called “We Just Are” in 2008. This will be filled with thier high energy, peaktime, festival monsters that they have been playing out in thier live shows and vocalist collaberations which they have pioneered for the albums release.
