Now, I can’t be the only person thoroughly excited by this artist!? Possibly tagged as Nu-Rave, but who cares, it’s fabulous ! The London based producer/ vocalist, FrankMusik struck me by surprise today as I accidentally ended up on they’re Myspace page, and the tunes I heard, made me ears dance with glee. Perhaps, I’m slightly behind in discovering them, but I’m so glad I did !

The first track that caught me by surprise, was a cover of The Postal Service’s “Such Great Heights”. Already a fantastic song I hear you bleet ? Well, that’s what I though, one of those songs never to be messed with, but for those of us who prefer a slightly more edgy and dance-like feel to a song, then this cover is for you. With original lyrics and “boppy” vibe to the song, it has been mixed with an eightee’s style synth, a more catchy bassline and I’m afriad to say… a smoother vocalist, giving the tune a much more club friendly beat. Unfortunately, this song cannot be found anywhere by myself for download, so to hear this song, you will all have to take the time to log onto the artist’s Myspace page, where you will also find tour dates for March, April and May, FrankMusik will be in a town near you soon. I will be attending the Tunbridge Wells date, so I’ll see if i can catch the man behind the music in action ! The tune “Three Little Words” for me, is a stunning tune, maybe for the girls to dance about in the bedroom with a hairbrush too, but either way, it is a beautiful song, while the vocals sounding scarily like Imogen Heap !

However, today I have added a few of this artist’s tracks to the post, to give you all a feel of how it works, obviously, not an artist for the taste of everybody, but I’m hoping than many of you will appreciate this artist as much as I do. I tip this to be big in 2008. Enjoy
