Hailing from Brooklyn, Kotchy was first known as the drummer for a band called “The Epochs”. Kotchy recently left the band to pursue his solo music project, with his first mainstream release of a remix of Tricky’s “Council Estate”, requested by Tricky himself to be a B-Side on his 7″ single release.
His first track by the name of “She Made It Easy” is a joy to my ears, mixing sounds of disco, hip-hop and soulful melodies. Unfortunately, this track will not be available for download, but can be found on Kotchy’s Myspace page for you to listen to.
The track I have made available for donwload to you today is called “Bruce Fleetwood”. Again, mixing dounds of disco, hip-hop and some lovely soulful melodies, I can see this track being big in the clubs this autumn.
Kotchy’s album “89″ will be available on 7″ this fall, so have a listen of the track available, head over to Kotchy’s Myspace for some more tracks, and get a feel for what the soundtrack to his autumn will be.
