DLAKE = PARTY MUSIC
POSTED BY Jade ON June 15th IN News, On The Radar, One More Disco.
It’s hard to ignore greatness these days, especially when it is forced upon you.
DLake was first introduced to me by FrankMusik, when he was telling me about how the newest Mixtape “BMore Of A Hipster” had changed his views on life. A few songs were played and already I knew I was in love. The first track on the Mixtape “Dance All Night” is ridiculously catchy and will stick in your head for days; with a sound that will make you imagine driving through downtown LA in a big american car, looking cooler than you would have ever looked before.
I began speaking to Mr Lake via Myspace, and I have recently sent him a list of questions for a short interview. As said in the interview, it’s hard to tag this music with any genre, but incase you are not willing to download something without a clue, I’d tag it generally as Baltimore, Electronic and Hip-Hop, sometihng for everyone, and it definately works. Daren has recorded an interview with the assistant of his girlfriend reading the questions, Below I have put a link to the interview .zip file, which also features DLake first ever made song, and alos his latest remix of Royksopp. Also is a link to downlad the BMore Of A Hipster mixtape, which is basically a must in anyones music collection.
PLEASE BE WARNED this interview does include some explicit language.
