FINAL: Metallica Remix Competition

So we have recieved all of the remixes from our remix competition, and trust me when I say it has been hard for all of us to choose a top 3. It has been about 5 people (including myself) who have all agreed on this top 3, so you can rest assure it has included more than 1 opinion.

First off, I’ll give you a quick reminder of the prizes for each winning position.

1st place = DJ Mehdi- Lucky Boy at Night (signed by DJ Mehdi) - CD Album + A post on One More Disco (and other popular music blogs)

2nd place = MixMag Erol Alkan Disco 2006 CD + A post on One More Disco (and other popular music blogs)

3rd place = A post on One More Disco (and other popular music blogs)

Right, so let’s get to it then shall we. Contenders have included; The Phantom’s Revenge (did Axe version too), Pieboye, Old School Reunion, Pierre Lamoure and aUtOdiDakT.

    The one remix that stood out the most was the OldSchoolReunion remix. the entire thing was an amazing use of a stop-go dance song!

    Interesting how dance/hard metal have really been crossing over recently with SebAstians new work and DJ Segas - interesting times!

    What’s up with the winners and the quality of the mixes in general? All but one of them suck and the best mix (phantoms revenge mix) is not even on the list? That was actually the only song I would spin on a dancefloor, all the others would kill it….Silly competition…
