About

One More Disco was originally thought out around 1000 BC, but it had only been made reality late 2007. The site officially went online 01 January 2008, Sam Baker, often visited music blogs such as Discobelle.net, Stereogum.com, Phase02.org, and being a website designer himself with 4 years experience behind him, Sam put the two together to create One More Disco. The name is inspired by one of Sam’s most favoured artists, Daft Punk, and their single “One More Time”. Sam started mixing music (being influenced by such artists as Justice) mid 2007 and has been continuing ever since, in fact you can check out some of his 30min mix’s on some of our early podcast’s. So when Sam decided to start One More Disco, he just had to invite Dan Goldswain to write for the site. Sam first met Dan on a graphics forum and when he discovered they both lived in the same county, they got talking and have been discussing indie music to this day. So when Sam got Dan involved on the project, he invited his other acquaintances to get involved.
Next was Gilles, who introduced Sam to mixing music and the 2 have been mixng to this day, Gilles met Sam on a graphics forum, the same Dan did. Sam had known Oliver since he started website designing and was involved in a small project Oliver had began to make a couple of years ago, Oliver; with his strong, wide taste in music was a great contribution to the site as the oldest one, he was able to fund the site to start off with.
